The Urban Research Held a Fundraising workshop:

On Saturday, February 21, 2009, the Community Development Resource Center in the Institute for Urban Research held a one day fundraising workshop.  The workshop which was targeted at representatives of community based organizations, private and other public organizations was aimed at helping participants to gain an edge in fundraising especially during this period of economic hardship.

Participants at the workshop gained core understanding of the principles of fundraising, ideas to attract funding support, priorities of potential donors, funding sources as well as ways to develop winning proposals.  In addition, the workshop also covered issues relating to needs development.
